Dr. Nagham Hassan Joins Global Initiative “Women’s Voices Without Borders” at the Intersection of Human Rights, Climate Change, and AI

Erbil, Iraq — Dr. Nagham Hassan, Executive Director of Hope Makers Organization for Woman, participated in the international forum “Women’s Voices Without Borders” on May 3rd and 4th, joining global leaders at the intersection of women’s human rights, climate justice, and artificial intelligence (AI).

This groundbreaking event brought together women from across continents to highlight how global challenges must be met with inclusive and intersectional solutions. Dr. Hassan, a well-known physician and human rights advocate, spotlighted the unique struggles and resilience of the Yezidi women during the forum, stating:

"Yezidi women are not only survivors of genocide and unthinkable trauma — they are resilient agents of change. Their stories must shape global conversations on justice, technology, and environmental survival. True progress requires inclusive platforms where no voice is left behind."

Hosted by a coalition of international partners, “Women’s Voices Without Borders” is committed to elevating marginalized voices in shaping the future of ethical AI, climate resilience, and human rights. Dr. Hassan’s presence emphasized the importance of grounding global agendas in the lived experiences of women in conflict-affected regions.

Under her leadership, Hope Makers Organization for Woman continues to support survivors of gender-based violence in Iraq through psychosocial care, education, and economic empowerment programs. Dr.Hassan's engagement at the forum signals a vital bridge between grassroots advocacy and global policy-making.
