Hope Makers Organization for Woman (HMOW) Continues Development and Capacity-Building Activities for Children in Sinjar





Sinjar, Iraq — [May 2025] — HMOW is proud to announce the ongoing implementation of its child development and capacity-building program in Sinjar, focusing on education, creativity, and emotional well-being. These activities aim to support children affected by conflict by providing them with essential learning opportunities and psychosocial support.
As part of the initiative:
French Language Classes were launched, engaging 20 children (10 girls and 10 boys). These classes are designed to build new linguistic skills and open pathways for future educational and professional opportunities.
Arabic Language Support sessions are underway with 19 participants (11 girls and 8 boys), aiming to strengthen literacy and communication skills essential for academic success.
Creativity and Physical Activities have been organized for 20 children (12 girls and 8 boys), combining movement-based exercises to boost concentration and attention, drawing sessions to help children express their emotions and develop imagination, and socialization activities to strengthen interpersonal connections and emotional resilience.
HMOW remains committed to empowering the next generation in Sinjar by creating safe and inclusive spaces for children to learn, grow, and heal. Through its ongoing efforts, the organization continues to advocate for education and psychological support as a fundamental right for all children.
